I would just like to thank channel 10 for their brilliant innovation in creating "Search for a new pussycat doll." Because I have been thinking lately that the Pussycat dolls need something to improve their already highly successful and admirable position in the music industry. What better way to do this than have yet another member! And to find them on national television! Seriously 7 "dolls" to sing and dance on stage at once is just inadequate!
I mean look at those bands who have 4 members with only one singer and the rest playing actual instruments. Crap. Coldplay. Crap. Death Cab for Cutie. Crap. Modest Mouse. Shite. Now if bands like this wanted to sell more records, perhaps we could get Chris Martin in a bikini and some back up dancers. Surely we can just have a screen that hides the guys who play the instruments..who even knows there names? Not me thats for sure.
Anyway back to those groovy cats. There's nothing more satisfing than turning on the TV to be bombarded with at least a dozen 80% naked plastic felines shaking what they've got for the limited amount of time each of them get shown on screen. It must be hard.. being such a large group..when all the attention has to be divided so much. How is a girl meant to feel appreciated? I know! By dancing in a more provacative way.. and ..and ..loosening our buttons!..what ever that means..
But seriously, I just want to quote some things that have been said on this show..
"You have to be creative in the way you dance." Creative? As in original? Well what better way to show your creative streak than pretending to have sex on stage! They'll never know thats been done before..
"mm.hmm....sexmy..hhm.."
Sorry Lil' Kim? All that plastic in your face is making it hard for us to understand what the hell your saying. But don't worry we'll just assume you repeated another cliche about self confidence and being sexy.
"This is for female empowerment!"
..that one is self-explanatory..
I can just imagine those poor suffragettes turning in their graves .."Their undoing all our hard work!"
So thankyou.. Channel ten, for being the inspiration to all those young girls out there who can now grow in self confidence by being truly sexy and of course fight for female empowerment
