The Ball

Last night was so great. I had my year 12 ball :D
The night started at 7 and I started getting ready at 1. I had hair to be pulled, a scalp to be burned and a face ot be poked at. Not to mention the cause of the difficulty I am having typing right now. Fake nails. I would never had thought I would engage in such a display. I have to say I'm getting used to them, after a while it's just like having long and unnaturally hard nails. ANYWAY. My mum did my hair and make up- an effort she was commended continuously throughout the night. We got to Maddi's house at 5 for the before party, where we drank really nice mocktails and waited nervously for everyone to show up.

The limosine arrived at 6- in the rain. The girls seemed a lot more concerned about this issue than the guys. I love the difference between guys and girls. I think my date said he started getting ready around 3 or 4. Soooo..we all squeezed into our limo (there was 12 of us) which I'm sure was meant for 10 people. We were given the option of Karaoke which Joseph took advantage of and provided valuable entertainment for part of the ride. This included a creepy, German version of "I'm Too Sexy." I'm not at all connecting creepiness to Germans by the way. It just so happened that Jo's accent of choice made him sound both German AND Creepy... or perhaps it was the choice of song..

Jeremy brought a couple of cds that he had prepared for the night which included some death cab, arcade fire, white stripes and phantom planet..yep you guessed it.. CALIFORNIAAAAA...

We arrived at our destination at 7 to be greeted by parents and teachers and my brother and his girlfriend with their cameras. Thankyouuu for the photos guys :D Everybody looked stunning. It was strange actually I'm not used to seeing our year group looking so attractive and calm. I was growing so accustomed to the scruffy haired stress heads of Year 12. More photos were taken when we went inside. Dinner was served shortly after and was rather nice in my opinion. AND THEN CAME THE DANCING..

That was very fun indeed. Our year group could brush up on the barnyard dance or whatever it's called but I was generally impressed with the efforts put into the Jive. Freestyling to Pendulum and Outkast was great fun..especially pretending to dodge bullets the Matrix style when the strobe lights came on. It looks very cool..I recommend trying it some teme. Unless you have epilepsy ofcourse.
But last night..I was so happy to be in year 12 with the bunch of people I was dancing with. We truly are an awesome bunch.

Then came the afters party. The limo picked us up at 12 and took us back to Maddi's, where we got changed out of our formal and into our casual wear. Joseph and Kelly drove us to Matt's house for the after party. The dancing continued in Matt's kitchen which was so fun. I just need to get a hold of Matt's camera..in order to do some...deleting of content...myes.

I'm pretty sure we had the longest Scrubs fest EVER IN THE HISTORY OF COMEDY!!!
We put it on at 1-ish and it stayed on until about 10 in the monring. And we didnt sleep. And I'm very tired. Which means I'm allowed to start my sentences with AND.
Caffeine is here for me though. Helping get through my English homework. Which is actually affecting me quite a bit. I keep relating every little aspect of day to day life with scenes and concepts from the Matrix (which we are studying).

Only Year 12 English students (who understand my new perceptions of reality) will not hate me.
For example, whenever I see people with a spoon, I have to inhibit the urge to run up to them and say, "There is no spoon!" whilst gazing into there eyes dreamily...and shaving my head.

Back to the ball...ahh it was brilliant. All of it. The befores, especially the afters, heck I even enjoyed the blisters on my feet and the stench of BO coming from the dance floor.
Thankyou so much guys for such an awesome night :D
I'll update with more photos when I recieve them from people who were more pro active in the photography department than me.

Back to the prophesy.

Hoorah! Sounds tremendously grand! =D Good to hear you had a great time.. You looked beautiful!!
As for the "I'm Too Sexy" Thing.. My brother sings that.. and then he starts undressing... Yeah, I think that's a bit more creepy than a German accent. =P
Nine hours of Scrubs? Damn... That sure as hell beats my five hours of Bubblegum Crisis.. I need to download scrubs actually.. Funny show, that one.
Oh, and I can't wait to see what Janelle looked like! =D
It would seem that my comment is getting rather long, so I guess I shall abruptly end here.
